British Columbia’s regulations on workplace safety mandate the use of certain BC regulation first aid kits, varying based on the number of workers per shift, the location of the worksite, and occupational hazards present on the worksite. First Aid Requirements vary depending on the situation such as:

  • BC Personal First Aid Kit - worker alone and at a distance farther than 20 minutes from a station.
  • BC Basic First Aid Kit - Shift of 2-5 Workers / low risk / more than 20 Minutes from an hospital. Or Shift of 2 - 10 Workers / low risk / less than 20 minutes from an hospital
  • BC Level 1 First Aid Kit - low to high risk environment depending on the number of workers and distance from a hospital.
  • BC Level 2 & 3 First Aid Kit - low to high risk environment depending on the number of workers and distance from a hospital.
