Help Raise Funds for ALS At The 2019 BC Home & Garden Show

We at 72HOURS understand the importance of giving back to our community. That's why we're proud to announce our special collaboration with the 2019 BC Home + Garden Show to offer a special 2-for-1 ticket to help raise funds for the ALS Society of BC. Our workplace has been affected by ALS, as the father of one of our employees was diagnosed with ALS and sadly passed away in 2017.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a neurodegenerative disease that causes voluntary muscles (such as legs, arms, tongue, and lungs) to progressively weaken and eventually die. ALS is rapidly progressive with an average life expectancy after diagnosis of 3 to 5 years. Funds donated to the ALS Society of BC go to support people living with ALS in British Columbia (60%) and the Canadian ALS Research Program (40%).

The Annual Walks to End ALS held around the province are a are a celebration of hope for those living with ALS, a celebration of lives for the family and friends of those who have lost their lives to the disease, and serves to increase awareness and support for ALS. It is because of the support of our donors and sponsors, the ALS Society of BC can continue to improve and expand with confidence, support programs to enhance the quality of life while living with ALS for the patient, family, and caregivers.
