West Coast–Ready Earthquake Emergency Kits

Our earthquake emergency kit food and water have up to a 5-year shelf life and are typically delivered within 1–6 months of the manufacturing date. Replace rations and water pouches once they reach their expiration date. We supply our own 72HRS emergency food and water, so you don't have to hunt for items separately—just grab the backpack and go. Store in a cool, dry place to maximize shelf life.

Both Deluxe earthquake preparedness kits include the same core essentials (food, water, first aid, light, warmth, tools). Differences are mainly in bag design and radio color:

Backpack layout: the Black Deluxe backpack has additional small organizer pockets; the Red Deluxe has a simpler internal layout.

Radio color: Red Deluxe includes a red radio; Black Deluxe includes a black radio.

Our standard kits provide approximately 2,400 calories per person per day for 3 days. The Real Meal kits include Mountain House freeze-dried meals that offer more variety and higher calorie counts. All food items are designed to be consumed without cooking, though the Real Meal kits include heating solutions for hot meals.

Yes! While our pre-assembled kits are designed to cover essential needs, you can add individual items from our store to customize your kit. Many customers add extra water, medications, pet supplies, or personal documents. We also offer refill kits to replace expired food and water.

Our backpacks are water-resistant, not fully waterproof. They can handle light rain and splashes but shouldn't be submerged. For added protection in wet conditions, we recommend storing important items in waterproof bags inside the backpack.
