MRE Shelf Life – Real Facts

These MREs are rated with a 3-year shelf life as a safety-first guideline. Actual shelf life depends on storage temperature:

    • Around 21°C: meals can last 5 years or more
    • Above 29°C: shelf life shortens naturally

Shelf life depends on storage conditions, not just the printed date.

    Heater Bag Safety

Heater bag becomes very hot during use. Handle carefully and place on a heat-safe surface.

      Have tried many mres.

I have tried many mres and these are quite reliable and good tasting. Ive bought other products from other suppliers and got expired, and mismatched packed items, so I will definently be staying with 72hours and their product from now on. One negative, the maple patty is horrible. Yet all other entrees are excellent.
