Coronavirus cases spike over 4 million, Medical Professionals persuade the US to do a reprise lockdown

With the figures of Covid-19 cases on a continuous rise, spiking to over four million infected people and incessant hospital admissions indicating that the virus is yet to be contained. Medical professionals are mounting pressure on government officials to reinstate lockdown measures in a bid to limit the spread of the virus. According to records from John Hopkins University, there are 4,030,748 coronavirus cases whilst 140,304 deaths have also been recorded in the United States. As the figures increase, over 150 distinguished medical professionals, nurses, tutors, and technologists have appended their signatures on a letter to government officials convincing them to reinstate lockdown measures to curtail the thriving coronavirus pandemic.

 A quote from the letter reads thus; "Right now we are on a path to losing more than two hundred thousand American lives by November 1st. Yet, in many states, people can drink in bars, get a haircut, eat inside a restaurant, get a tattoo, get a massage, and do myriad other normal, pleasant, but non-essential activities"  

The fear of the coronavirus becoming the foremost source of death in the United States was expressed by most mortality statisticians.  However, Bill Gates is also assisting in sponsoring the attempts to invent a vaccine for the coronavirus through his foundation; the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  Even the billionaire has consistently reiterated how difficult the situation is.

All over the country, states are battling with a communal upsurge in infection cases. Governor Jay Inslee declared that the state of Washington is reinforcing curtailment on fitness centers, theaters, bars, restaurants, funerals, and weddings. Quoting the Governor, "If we let the virus get even more control, it will have an even more devastating impact over the long term in our economy, and certainly in our health, and the very lives of our loved ones". Missouri, New Mexico, and Hawaii are giving reports of new cases, daily. Meanwhile, Health Officer; Muntu Davis also declared at a press conference that Los Angeles County has recorded over two thousand more cases.
