How/When to Use:

Instructions

1. Hold thermometer at both ends, press firmly on dry forehead, hold until colour stop changing (about 15 seconds). Read thermometer while still on the forehead.
2. Read temperature as follows: Green = correct temperature. If you do not see green, then look for blue and tan colours. Blue add 0.5°C, Tan subtract 0.5°C.
3. Thermometer should be used indoors at room temp. approx. 20°C to 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight or strong lamps when taking the temperature.
4. Do not take temperature if the individual has been eating, drinking or exercising within the last 30 minutes or just coming in from the outdoors.
5. Always consult your physician if a fever exists.
6. Thermometer may be cleaned with a soft cloth and should be stored inside instruction sheet.

Forehead skin temperatures are lower than oral temperatures. The readings shown on this thermometer have been adjusted to 2.5°C to approximate the difference between the forehead and oral temperatures during normal to feverish conditions. The difference may be from 2.1°C to 3.3°C. A clinical thermometer may be used if oral temperature differs from the number shown.
